About This Project
Why I built this, and why I hope it helps you.
Hi, Iβm the creator of DisasterCalculator.com .
I live in earthquake and wildfire country. Like many people, Iβd get anxious about emergencies, read a dozen conflicting checklists, get overwhelmed, and do nothing.
I built this site to solve my own problem: I just wanted to know the numbers.
How much water do I actually need for 2 adults and a dog? How many calories of food? What gear is actually worth buying vs. what is just "prepper" marketing?
This site is built on guidance from authoritative sources like FEMA, Ready.gov, and the American Red Cross. Iβve tried to strip away the fear-mongering and just give you the math and the tools to get prepared.
